Three weeks with the Yashica T5 — on a Sony A7 body
3 weeks ago, I chance upon http://lostlenscaps.com/project-01-yashica-t4/ where the clever person documented and even shared the 3D files to print! Excited about the possibility of reviving mojo from the dead camera, I sourced for contact of 3D printing in Singapore. Thanks to my friends, I contacted Machinist.sg https://www.facebook.com/machinist.sg. The business owner (Jimmy) replied promptly over the weekend and got it printed and sent over within the week! And 3 weeks with the lens has been quite wonderful. The lens has very slight barrel distortion, wild vignetting but overall sharp and a natural looking bokeh. Seems like the magic is definitely in the lens. Attached is 12 images I’ve capture over the 3 weeks and the lens is still sitting pretty on my Sony A7.
